When we heard whispers of Sharon and Frank's impending marriage both myself and my husband were absolutely delighted for them. We couldn't wait, it's been a while since we attended a friend's wedding and considering we are both on the wedding scene often enough it is a nice break to share a day with friends.
Initially plans were for just Sharon and Frank to attend the registry office with their witnesses and have a meal afterwards but here were too many people like us who were so excited and happy for them. It turned out to be around 50 guests, family and friend's on a Monday afternoon. We had a couple of special surprises for our friends though and the excitement was absolutely killing us. As we arrived for the meal the first surprise was with us, one of the formal photos printed and framed, usually there wouldn't be time for this at a wedding but with such a small and relaxed wedding there was plenty of time to spare and my dear friends at the Fuji Centre in Liffey Valley were only too willing to help us out with a rush job which resulted in tears of joy.
As everyone tucked into a delicious meal myself and my husband were like giddy kids, we knew how happy Sharon would be with the next surprise. An avid Bon Jovi fan, Sharon would attend all of my husband Kev's gigs and beg for just one more Bon Jovi song, little did she know that it had been arranged that rather than the dj playing Bed of Roses in fact Kev and Conor, his super duper guitarist would give her a little acoustic set of some of her favourite numbers. It started with screams of excitement followed with tears of joy and ended in one of the most memorable days we have had in a long time.
Frank & Sharon, we were honoured to be part of your day and hope to be share many more days with you guys xxxx
