There is no better feeling than knowing you belong, there is somewhere that you can call home with someone you can call yours. Finding that person with whom you can truly be yourself with is the ultimate goal in life, the person who makes you smile for no reason at all and when you find that person there is no point in waiting.
I have the very special privilege of getting an insight into many people's lives and relationships. It is always an honour to be a part of such a special day in a couples life and certainly none more so than this day. From our very first meeting there was no doubt in my mind that Brian and Orla are incredibly well matched, very conscious of each others desires, aware of each others hopes and sharing each others goals in life. It is rare to meet such a grounded couple, honest, sincere and true.
When the big day finally arrived my opinions were only enhanced. On a leafy suburban street I found Orla in her family home, relaxed and calm with her bridesmaid by her side. I must admit how cute I found it that they were childhood friends that not 20 years before hand would be skipping along the path outside together. There were no nerves in the house that morning, but why would there be, today was a day for the perfect match and all we could feel was excitement.
The boys waited patiently at the church, being so organised Orla certainly did not leave them waiting long. With one of my favourite priests performing the mass I knew this would be a ceremony to remember. And that it was, soon the church was filled with smiles and laughter.
The day of course, being meticously planned, went without a hitch. Barberstown Castle as always greeted the guests with style and in such surroundings we are guaranteed optimum results photographically. Today was slightly different however. Today I had the most cooperative, relaxed and content couple of all time so I will admit to spending slightly longer than usual taking the couple portraits, I was enjoying myself way too much. How could I not enjoy myself, I was witnessing something beautiful. We often hear that to make a lady fall in love a man should make her smile, the thing is though every time Orla smiled we could visually see Brian fall in love with her all over again, he was simply over flowing with happiness.
To you both, my wonderful, beautiful clients, I thank you endlessly for allowing me to witness the truth of you both, your constant love and support to each other and those around you is truly inspiring. I request just one thing from you both. A moment. Any time you are tired, stressed or confused give me just one moment and in that moment think of this story and the impact you both, together have on even just one person. I promise you that if you give me that moment you will forever continue to look at one another as you did in the gardens of Barberstown and you will forever fall in love over and over again. Thank you and thank you again for being you and giving us all an insight into your love.
In return I give you my love,
