All to often I hear brides worry about rain on their wedding day. I comfort them as best I can telling them how rare it is to not have any outdoor time at all due to weather, knowing it would be pointless telling them of the good superstitions of rain on a wedding day.
For Catherine and Mark though, they were blessed with both sun and rain and I hope for both of them each and every superstition comes true for it has been said that rain on a wedding day washes away any past sorrows and signifies the beginning of a life without tears, though looking at this fantastic couple I can see no reason for hope.
That being said, of course we all want some time outdoors, why book a venue like Tulfarris without having that hope. Despite the downpours outside Catherine managed to get out of the car as gracefully as possible and beamed ear to ear, itching to get up that aisle and stand by her man. Mark was obviously eagerly awaiting her slightly late arrival without any doubt that she would turn up soon. As soon as Mark set his eyes upon his stunning bride he lit up so bright that he was surely and most likely still is, the happiest man on this planet. Catherine is a girl who never appears without a smile, filled with love and a heart of gold but that heart is topped off with a bucket full of adoration for Mark, who we can all see, worships the ground she walks on. To an outsider like me looking in Mark and Catherine were united as one long before they were married, they belong together, fitting like jigsaw pieces perfectly side by side.
As always, arriving at Tulfarris, we were greeted by Derek and his perpetual charm, receiving the newly wed couple into the ever impressive manor house. The house was filled with laughter and fun as guests gathered and joked as Catherine and Mark mingled amongst them, all the while with an unabated belief that the rain would cease, and that it did. Though our time out doors was short we used it to our best and hurried along with excitement to see what was awaiting us in the reception room. As we arrived both Catherine and Mark were blown away by a cake display unmatched by any other I have set my eyes on, tables stylishly decorated with antique tea cups filled with beautiful flowers. It has to be said, with huge credit to Catherine, Derek and all the staff at Tulfarris, the layout was the most beautiful I have seen so far.
Speaking of beauty we cannot go another word without mentioning Catherine, her dress, her hair and makeup, her bridesmaids, the whole day was finished with a sprinkle of elegance and perfection and a tonne of smiles to go along with that.
Catherine and Mark, firstly I need to thank you for having me as part of your day, it is always an honour but especially so to see how perfect you are for each other. I hope that with every rain drop you see you are reminded of your wedding day and the rain that set a clear path for your future happiness together.
All of my love,
